My son has had a cough for 5 weeks now, and has had on and off diarrhea for about the same length of time. Had a gp appointment booked for a week ago but they cancelled it due to staff sickness. Haven't been able to get another one but going in to the surgery at 8 today to see if they can give me an appointment.
It's likely he's just had a viral infection and the cough is not going away but am wondering if anyone has had anything similar? Is it normal for a cough to still be quite bad after 5 weeks?
