Baby is 4m and I think it's heat rash but just looking for reassurance I guess! Google shows it as much more red than this

It could be, check under a glass and seek further advice if you're worried. A baby that young will be seen if you want a medical opinion IME

It looks very like my ds's rash. Hasn't changed for a few days and he's well in himself so I'm assuming heat rash. If baby seems unwell at all I'd check.

A little grouchy but I'd expect that in this heat.
Had her 16 week jabs 4hrs ago too so im sure that's contributing to her grouchyness!

It's localised to chest and tummy too which is why im assuming heat rash

My 5 year old has the same and has since he was little. It’s come back again now it’s warmer. Is all over chest and back although he’s itchy all over! Am assuming heat rash as ok in himself. I’ve given Piriton for itching.

OP - did you find out what this was? My son has the exact same rash which he developed when it was quite warm. It’s only on his torso and hasn’t got any worse but hasn’t gone either? It’s been 2 weeks now

febbabies2023 · 11/07/2023 18:27

@Honeymaple98 I'm assuming it was prickly heat as it comes and goes. Normally when she's warmer it pops up or possibly to do with teething?

She's been warm and has been hand chewing so it could be either of those things. How is your little one in themself?

Febbabies2023 - my little one has been chewing his hands a lot etc, but otherwise seems well in himself. I did wonder if it was teething but it’s just on his lower belly, nothing on chest, neck, face etc! I thought it was prickly heat but because it’s not cleared up in 2 weeks I’m not so sure!

febbabies2023 · 12/07/2023 13:10

@Honeymaple98 mine is the same, it's only ever on her belly area and she seemed okay with it so I just put it down to the weather or teething. Still no signs of any teeth but she is SO dribbly and hands are constantly being chewed
If he's okay in himself then I wouldn't worry too much!x
