Heat rash?

Hi all,

Firstly, let me just say that I have spoken to the GP office twice and both times they have said it sounds like heat rash and they won't see my daughter unless she has a temperature, refuses feeds and has less wet nappies.

This rash appeared on Sunday night just before we have her a bath. It started as a small amount of pink looking bumps on her stomach. Monday, she still had them on her stomach and they looked more pink with a few more of them. Yesterday it spread to her arms, hands, legs, feet, back and bum, then when she woke from a nap it was also on her chest and face.

I'm not second guessing a medical professional, but my PPA is sky high and I'm worried because they won't see her. She hasn't had a temperature, is still eating the same amount although her wet nappies aren't as heavy as they had been. She is well in herself and not in discomfort, she isn't scratching or anything so I'm just confused. I always thought heat rash was itchy? They also fade under a glass. This morning, she looks so much worse, they look red and have accumulated into clusters in some places which looks more like heat rash. I want to take her to the pharmacy (we need more formula anyway - she has CMPA) but it's too hot out and I don't want to make it worse by putting her in the heat for any period of time if it is heat rash. My anxiety is sky high and I'm lost at what to do. The second image is from this morning.

Any advise or opinions would be appreciated. I'm going to call the Dr again tomorrow if there is no signs of improvement because I'm kind of annoyed they haven't looked at her, but I understand why when she hasn't got a temperature and nothing seems "wrong".

When my baby had heat rash a couple of times she didn't itch the areas. Could you get a fan to help keep her cool during the day if she is extra sensitive to heat?

We have fans in ever room of the house and a clip on one for her pram (it's a bit rubbish though). I'm glad that you said your LO didn't scratch, it was making me doubt everything because when I've had it before it felt like I'd been stung by nettles!

I think my little boy has heat rash on his chest and tummy as he also doesn't have a temperature and is his normal happy self. He is not itching either.
