I had probable strep last week. Now feeling much better still on penicillin.

DS now has a fever, not too high and generally not too poorly. Throat is sore.

Should I go straight to GP in case it's strep or see how he goes?

I think it can cause damage to the heart without treatment. My boys were both given antibiotics 6/7 years ago for it.

I would definitely contact your gp to say you’ve had it and now your son has symptoms.

Ours have this. Nhs advice is very clear- antibiotics within 24 hrs. Can be very nasty.
