Hi does anyone have any idea what this could be? Phoned doctor on Friday, he sent me to the pharmacy. Got some antihistamine and lotion. But looks worse today.

It looks like nettle rash. An allergy of some kind?

I just wanted to ask have you got him to shower using your usual products and change his clothes in case the irritant is still on him.

Has he been out in long grass/grass verge areas?

Looks like hives.
Dd sometimes gets this, we think it's a type of pollen, but because it only happens every few years we're at a loss as which pollen is causing the issue.
It's horrible and itchy.
I second a cool shower just water no soaps potions or lotions. Sontinue with the antihistamine and antihistamine lotion if it works (we used calamine lotion which made it much worse...turns out dd has an intolerance to the stuff).
Also agree with washing cloths, and bedding.
It could be a change of soap or washing powder, or your dc has inadvertently rubbed up against something....conifer trees can cause a similar rash.
Hope it goes down soon and the itching stops.

Thank you. We stay up in the hills in central Scotland, lots of trees and overgrown grass up our way. He was out on Friday playing. He’s been sneezing a lot too. Thanks for both your advice. I’ll get him to shower
