Large mark on child’s leg

Today, I noticed a very large mark on my daughters thigh, she’s never had a birthmark there and I am stunned that I have missed this! It’s isn’t particularly noticeable and is very light in colour but is is very big and covers most of the one side of her thigh. Is this skin colour change normal or should I take her to the GP?

Anyone?

I would take her to the GP or they might even ask for a photo. No harm in checking but I'm sure it's all fine.

I have this, and my DD. My DD's looks like a tea stain and is behind her knee. It's quite largish but I've never really thought about it. Are you just seeing it now as you've noticed it, or is it new? My nephew had one on his face that appeared when he was around 2 and slowly faded. The one on my leg if very obvious if I wear shorts and catch the sun.

My dd had this for a week on her legs once. In retrospect I must have picked her up and held her before my fake tan had completely dried.

I’m not sure if it’s new but I have never noticed it until yesterday so can only assume it is new. Perhaps the sun has made it more visible now? It’s huge and cover the whole inside of her thigh.
