Hello, my nearly 3 week old is only having bowel movements every 3-4 days. Its loose and yellowy when he does go, just worried he should be more regular? He's formula fed and feeds well! We do lots of bicycle legs, tummy massage etc to try and help things along. He can have huge meltdowns in the evening appears to be uncomfortable but could that be wind/ colic/ witching hour? Any advice? When should I seek gp / medical advice? First time mumma here. Tia x

Im going through the exact same thing. My 3 week old baby gets so cranky, we’ve been having the same issues with the bowel movements. I worry as I don’t know what else to do to help my baby. Hopefully someone gives you an answer!

If it's loose when he goes then I was always told that was fine.

Have you tried bf him....like exclusively? I did until at least mine was 6 months and it did help mine.

Are you in the UK ?Do you have a health visitor? I think it might be worth bringing this up either to the health visitor or gp /nurse. Keep a count of diapers (write it down ) many wet diapers to make sure that your baby stays hydrated. If I remember correctly, I was told that they poop between 2-5 times until six weeks and then anytime between once a day to once in 7 days.
