Persistent cough

DS had a cold, possibly Covid, around 6 weeks ago. Over it quickly but has an ongoing cough. It’s a dry, unproductive cough. Took him to gp who was happy with his chest. Gave us ABs but said only take if it goes to his chest.

that was 2 weeks ago. Just this dry cough and says his eyes hurt sometimes. Chest clear. No temp.

Could it be hayfever? Waiting for another appointment but wondering what it could be. He’s 12.

You could try an antihistamine and see what happens

Is there any asthma in the family ?

my mum has asthma slightly I think. Could it be asthma? No breathlessness.
