Strep throat?

My DD has been under weather for a week now, started with high temp and swollen glands; then went down and a snuffly nose appeared and cough so assumed viral.
she was a bit peaky yesterday and woke at 5am saying her throat was sore and was hot again at 39. She’s spent all day in bed which is very unlike her.
i took her to gp before closing who had quick look and said her tonsils were red and inflamed but as no pus likely not strep throat and to go to out of hours if she got worse ☹️
it’s now 9pm and she’s got
a fever
of
40 and shivering, I think it will come down a hit as just given calpol but i think (and I’m not sure) I can now see white on right hand tonsil. Would you take to out of hours tonight or is this ott and wait
and see how she is in the morning? Always nervous since strep A stuff hit news 😢
