Once the foreskin is fully retractable how long can you leave it retracted?

If its stuck you should seek medical help

fhtshop · 12/05/2023 18:38

No its not stuck, My son has started retracting it himself when heh plays with it like little boys do hands in pant's etc. but he doesn't close it and after a while he will come to me and say it hurts its normally quite red by then and even difficulted to close it which seam to be more pain full for him. I am just concerned weather this is going to cause any problems for him late on. Is this a normal thing for boys that can retract them self's at a young age?

Not sure that this thread has anything to do with autoimmune diseases

dementedpixie · 12/05/2023 18:41

What age?
It should always be put back in place by him or it can cut off blood supply

fhtshop · 12/05/2023 18:48

Sorry did not know Is there a way to change it now?

You could report your post and ask it to be moved elsewhere e.g. children's health maybe

fhtshop · 12/05/2023 19:03

He is just coming up to two years old. He doesn't know how to close it and he probably won't be able to to it as it is hard to close when it has been retracted for a length of time and he doesn't like it when I do it as it is sore by then. He always comes to me before the blood supply thing happens because of the pain I cant find any clothing that doesn't allow him to access himself.
Looks like I have put this thread in the wrong place is there a way to change it?

He's quite young for it to be retracting fully tbh.
You can report your post to get it moved

YouAndMeAndThem · 12/05/2023 19:11

I didn't think under 5s were able to retract it.

dementedpixie · 12/05/2023 19:11

I've tried reporting it for you

dementedpixie · 12/05/2023 19:12

Maybe seek gp advice

dementedpixie · 12/05/2023 19:13

Ah, it's been moved now

fhtshop · 12/05/2023 19:38

Thank you for the link, if the clips are strong enough this may just work. I didn't think of this type of clothing even if he could undo the clips I think he would have trouble lifting the bottom part up to get his hands in. Thank you again I will defiantly try it out.
