6yr old discharge - burning?

My almost 6yr old daughter has been complaining of discharge. We've had a chat about how our vaginas self clean, the importance of wiping front to back etc. My only concern is that she described it as "burny" when she sits on the carpet in class. Not burny other times, though it has been bothering her.

Would you see GP? I can't get routine GP appt for a month, but not sure if it needs urgent appt as its not hurting all the time.

Have you had a look to check any redness or skin irritation? What’s her urine like is that normal? What colour is the discharge? Any recent change in washing products or new underwear that could of irritated her skin? It sounds like she might have a urine infection

Definitely needs the GP

My DD has occasional vulvovaginitis, GP said it can be really miserable and can be to do with hormones. Best thing we did that helped:

vinegar bath. You need a good mug or two of white vinegar sloshed about in a shallow bath. It’ll stink, but doing this nightly for 3 nights sorted DD out.

To keep it at bay, don’t skip bath times. No soap, none whatsoever.
