Stellest vs Miyosmart - Optometrist - Myopia Control

Hi 👋

I wondered if there were any optometrists in here? Or perhaps parents using myopia control aids for their children?

I'd be grateful for information on whether there are any stand out reasons to choose Stellest vs Miyosmart lenses?

Is there any discernable difference between these two products (other than cost) which should inform my final decision?

I know there are studies which demonstrate a 60% vs 67% efficacy rating, however, is not immediately clear how independently verifiable those results are.

Patient: 8.5 year child, prescription around -1.5

We intend to complete a MiSight trial. But I'm also keen to explore spectacles as well, as there's no guarantee that my child will be able to handle or tolerate contact lenses.

Many thanks in advance!

Miyosmart has been around longer, but there doesn't seem to be a huge difference in the clinical results. For either to work though, he needs to be in them full time, if he tends to take them on and off during the school day they won't work anyway and you're better just going for the contacts.
