Another week another illnesss . Little one (8 months) had a fever of 38.8 40 minutes ago. Ibuprofen given and it’s come down but it still high at 38.2.

Not sure what to do next as it still high, and he’s uncomfortable- crying in his sleep. Still feels extremely hot to touch. Debating whether to phone 111 or not.

Give 111 a call if you are concerned
Have you stripped them down to just a vest?
Keeping a baby grow on will just keep the heat in.
Fingers crossed it'll come down more over the next half hour or so.
Hope little one feels better soon.
Keep us posted x

Yep just down to his best and currently having very disturbed sleep with me in my bed. Now 38.3 - so worrying when they’re so little and even though he’s number 2 you still panic like the first!

You definitely do hun, that's what us Mumma's do!
If you don't seem to get much further give 111 a call to also put your mind at rest x

If he's in pain I'd wait maybe another 1/2 hour to see if Calpol kicks in and if not I'd give nurofen too.

It's awful when they're unwell and too tiny to explain if anything hurts - do you have any inkling? Eg is he snotty or pulling at his ear or anything?

I'd call 111 if you want because he's so tiny.
