Hi all,
Having never had an eye infection, DD (16mo) is on her third one in a couple of months. For the first one the GP took a swab and found a couple of strains of bacteria. When it recurred the GP said one of the strains is known to stick around in the nose.
She’s just come down with it a third time… my current theory is she rubs snot in her eye when she’s trying to fall asleep. She’s not especially snotty at the moment (we always wipe her nose when she is) and when she is awake we discourage rubbing her eyes and she does listen.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar ? Any advice for stopping her rubbing snot in her eyes as she’s settling to sleep !? when I try and pull her hand away it just makes her get annoyed and cry (leading to more snot and more eye rubbing….)
thanks x
