My 14yo daughter got hsv on her arm. (Next to her elbow) This is her 5th outbreak on the same place for the past 11 years. It started after she had chicken pox

I was misdiagnosed by her doctor for years as shingles. She will be needing a prevent treatment to supress it.

Its weird that it only break out on her arm. It look like a huge cluster of coldsores and her skin is inflamed, plus from her elbow to her little finger is painful too so i presume her nerve endungs is so sensitive and sore too.

She had it this time last year but it was worse last year.

She is not in any other medication.

Im just wondering whys the flare up??
