Hello,
On Wednesday, DS1(8) was pushed over at school. He initially said he fell and was 'fine' but by Thursday, the bottom of his calf was swollen and painful. He explained what had happened - another boy had tried to pull him over twice and put his arms around his waist to tackle him and he fell.
We've had it elevated, used frozen peas, rested it and been giving ibuprofen but there's no improvement. It's now hot to touch and it's painful to flex his foot. He now says it felt like an elastic band went snap in his leg as he fell.
Do I ride this out or take him to minor injuries? There's no point in 111, round here they just send you to minor injuries as there's no OOH GP service any more. I thought he'd rally better than this. Its also the same foot he fractured a couple of years ago. (Yes, he's that child)
Any suggestions welcome. TIA
