Chicken pox

Both my sons currently have chickepox. I first noticed a rash Monday evening and since then it’s just getting worst and worse. They are 3 & 5. They look so sore and are in so much pain. They won’t stop crying. They can’t eat. When should I start seeing some improvement. It’s so worrying.

Are you giving Calpol ?

Tepid baths , with oats.

Spots started to scab over from D3 for my children so hopefully very soon in your case. Like PP, we did lots of oat baths (put oats in a sock and hang over tap when filling bath then give them sock to put on sore areas), poxclin mousse was helpful and used calamine occasionally but they found the white cast uncomfortable so used less of this. My children looked like yours but were more uncomfortable than in pain

Calpol too if in pain or have a fever.

You should be coming to the end of it now, hope they feel better soon

I could have written this myself. 2 and 5 year olds here and they are miserable and in so much pain especially down below. Am hoping that the next 24 hours things will have peaked and started to calm back down. We've been doing calpol and piriton and using vira-soothe. Oat baths seen to help but not for long 😩 can't wait for this to be over and hopefully never have to deal with it again!
