Teething Nappies

Hello,

I have a 14 month old little girl who for the past 3 weeks has had looser, more frequent bowel movements. Iv spoken to the HV who advised it sounds like teething nappies and not to worry if she is eating, drinking etc as normal, which she is.

Is this quite normal for teething nappies to last this long?

Thank you 😊

I'm not sure at 14 months. Hut when my dd got her first set of teeth at 6 months, it took a month, and yes,the entire month was loose, mucousy , frequent bm's.
But this was only the first time. She's had several other teeth come out and did not have the stool problem again.

What was it like the other time yours got teeth? I wonder if there's something else going on with their tummy?

Thanks for replying.

She has been like this at the start of teething when she was younger but not since.

Im hoping it eases soon 🫤

14 months — is it the first molar? Molars take forever.
Does the nappy smell vinegarish? If so, definitely teething.

I'm thinking it could be her first molar.
They do smell very strong.

Weird,is it a particularly challenging set of teeth? Are they drooling a lot more? I think it's the excess saliva they swallow that causes the loose/mucous in the teething stools

She isn't drooling more, but tbh she never was really drooly cutting the others. Iv just looked a diagram and she already has her first molars. Maybe it's the canine ones coming next.
