Child limping suddenly

Dc age 3 has been limping for 10 days now. Went to a&e but as they were weight baring they said its ok but come back if worsens over 2/3
3 days later it was much worse, so returned, dc isn't saying there's pain but its very prominent and foot now going inwards
They did xrays of knees hips lower leg ankle and foot. All were ok.
They did blood tests for infection all OK.
So sent home with outpatients appointment.
Have the orthopedic outpatients appointment on Monday but im getting so worried.
The limp is still there, foot going inwards but when wearing shoes its very prominent and goes in more.

Otherwise a healthy active dc

I didn’t want to read and run so although I don’t have experience of this my friend’s son did.
he developed a limp that got worse, he didn’t say it was sore and was compensating for it when the dr saw him but it was pretty pronounced. Like your ds he had bloods taken to rule out infection and X-rays and all came back fine. In the end he had to go once a week to be checked and eventually it just stopped. They never knew what it was. But he’s absolutely fine now. I’d say if it’s come on suddenly, no pain, otherwise healthy and initial tests are all clear that’s all really reassuring 💞
let us know how the appointment on Monday goes X

Hi @NotPrettyInPink23, how is your child? Mine has had exactly the same happen. We’re at the wait a week and come back stage. Any advice you got, it would be great if you could share it 😊

Hi.
Literally a few days later he started walking better we saw outpatients and they couldn't see anything either. They said likely ligament issue.
. They didn't discharge him in case happens again. But hasnt thankfully

Hopefully your dc will be the same
