4 month old with unusual poo

My 4 month old has just started having quite runny poo's over the last couple days, he sometimes does have this and then it goes back to normal but now his poo has a unusual smell to it, it just doesn't smell exactly like his normal poos. And he's been crying so much today, so restless and only happy when me or dad are holding him. Any ideas please? Bit of a nightmare it's Easter weekend so can't ring the doctors obviously

If it smells sharp and acidic then he could be teething.

Vinegary smelling poos are standard for teething which fits in with his age

Thank you. Yeah this did cross my mind but I wasn't sure. Only thing is he was 3 weeks early and he is only now starting not to look like a newborn, only now over 10 pounds etc. he seems to be a bit further behind than most babies of that age so I didn't know if that would be the same for teething too
