Can Step A return?

DC 6 was poorly 2 weeks ago with a fever for a week which turned out to be strep a, they finished their antibiotics at the beginning of last week and has been fine since but today they’ve been lethargic and sniffly and fever has returned. I’m worried is it normal to get ill again so quickly? Could it be strep again? I’m such a paranoid mum about my dcs health as it is and I’m starting to panic!

It's pretty unlikely to be Strep A if they had a treatment course recently. Likely just a fresh virus, if you become worried see GP as you would in normal times.

Thankyou for replying this is what I thought but I’m just worried how he has got something so quickly after having that, hoping he shakes it off!

Strep A is an infection. It can return although this is unlikely to return that quick unless
it did clear the first time
