Cmpa or infection?

Hi, looking for some advice on my 5 week old baby girl. She was born congested and with an infection so was on IV antibiotics for a day and a half. Was discharged from hospital when her infection levels were okay, since then she's still been very congested. Below is problems we are having

  • very congested, can hear and feel it in her back and chest also heavy breathing and rattly due to so much mucus/phlegm
  • sick a lot which in last two days has been bringing up a lot of green phlegm in it
  • her poos have turned green and have had streaks of blood, again poos are either mucusy or watery diarrhoea
  • sticky eyes for last 2.5 weeks which doesn't seem to be budging by cleaning them
  • coughing/choking on her bottles
  • born weighing 7lb2 and now weighs 9lb6, only 5oz gain since the last time she was weighed 2 weeks ago

I am asking on here for advice as I had the HV out today and she said her weight gain wasn't as much as they'd expect however she is happy she is still gaining. She asked me to make a drs appointment as she thinks either her milk is disagreeing with her or she has an infection. Phoned the dr and they have no appointments today or tomorrow and are shut on Monday. I've to phone again tomorrow at 8am but I'm worried now she might have an infection and I can't get back through to the drs as the line keeps saying user on another line and cuts off. I said to the health visitor 2 weeks ago I'd keep an eye on her poos after her 'cold' goes but it's not shifting and she's had this since birth.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated, should I call 111?

Cmpa, they don't have to tick every symptom. The green poo and streaks of blood are as clear as day to me. Fight for

Could the congestion be from cmpa? She's formula fed as never took to the breast at all, turns out she has tongue tie so HV said that's probably why

Yes congestion can be a sign of allergy or reflux (which can be caused by the tongue tie).

Or I was told by my GP congestion can be normal post birth, my daughter had it for a while post c section. But with all the other symptoms, I'd be speaking to a GP.

CMPI
Poss reflux- ask to trial meds
Ask if needs assessing for possible unsafe swallow, ask them to listen to her chest. Crackles on R are indicator of this.

Tongue tie has nothing to do with blood and green poo

I know this, I was saying that's why she never took to the breast
