Loose stools… allergy? Intolerance?

My little one has had loose stools ever since we switched to cows milk at the end of November.
Went to the GP who advised we cut out dairy products until we see the paediatrician he referred us to. My little
boy has other signs of a potential allergy like eczema (had since 3 months old), irritability and rashes/has previously had breathing issues so uses an inhaler when needed. GP advised us to try alternative milks in the meantime.
Oat milk worked at first (for about 10 days) and then he started vomiting every time he had the oat milk.
Gave his body a weeks rest and spoke to the HV who advised Alpro Soya Growing Up Milk… well that gave him an even worse reaction than the cows milk. He was in pain and going up to 10 times a day with green watery/mucus poop. We stopped the soya milk after day 4 as it was obvious that he was in pain and I couldn’t continue to give it to him in the hopes his body would adjust.

At his 13 month review his height was flagged up a bit on the short side as it was two centile lines under the weight and HC. I did his height and weight yesterday, his height has dropped from the 9th to 2nd centile as there’s only been a 2cm growth since the review. And he’s actually lost weight in the last 3 weeks as he was weighed in A&E (11kg) and is now 10.3kg.

I feel like I’m going to fobbed off and told it’s just “toddler diarrhoea” and to just get on with it, but I feel like there has to be something underlying to cause this as this is not normal for him. He doesn’t have loads of sugary stuff in his diet and I try and make sure he has as many different sources of fat that I can, e.g avocados and fish etc.

Has anyone got any experiences they can share or advice? I just feel like I’m doing something wrong and that I’m fighting a losing battle.
