Suspected Conjunctivitis...

Typically we are on holiday atm (still in the UK) when DD (4) woke up this morning I saw her left eye was producing yellow gunk in the corner. I've been wiping it with cooled boiled water on cotton wool every 20 mins. It looks watery & a little bloodshot. It seems to be producing more yellow gunk than before but not really bothering her a lot. Not sure if it's sticky eye but I googled Conjunctivitis & it said it gives the red eye appearance. She's never had this before, is it a GP job or a treat it yourself?

Pharmacist can prescribe antibiotic eye drops, no need for a gp but it does need actual treatment.

Apparently there’s a lot around at the moment so probably is conjunctivitis

Pop to a pharmacy, they will usually give you something. It should disappear on its own within 2 weeks but I always like to treat.

Current thinking is that it usually clears by itself and you should only start drops if its no better after 3 days.
