Lump on 4 months old head

My 4 month old baby has got a little lump on her head by her crown, I'm really worrying what it is? I've got a doctors appointment next Thursday but she seems her normal happy self and it doesn't seem to cause her any pain.
It's been there a few weeks (about 8 I think) and I don't remember her bumping her head, it just randomly appeared. She doesn't have very much hair so it's more noticeable but it's just a little raised and in real life you can't see too much unless you run your finger over it and it's skin coloured with hair still growing on it
Thank you

My DD has a similar lump. I noticed it not long after she'd started rolling. Went to the GP who didn't know what it was but said she wasn't concerned but would send her for an ultrasound scan for my peace of mind. Radiologist confirmed its size but again just said didn't appear to be anything suspicious, no blood vessels or anything running through it.
She's 6 now, and you can sometimes feel it when brushing her hair but it's still the same size, so don't think it was anything to worry about.
Hope your appointment goes ok
