Itchy bum. Worms or something else?

I have a 7 year old. He's been saying he's got an itchy bum - haven't seen any other evidence of worms but on the advice of the pharmacist he's had two tablets two weeks apart. I've also followed all the cleaning advice (morning daily shower, cleaning bedding daily, clean clothes and pjs daily, hoovering and dusting, washing hands & scrubbing nails). Despite this the itchy bum remains. Any ideas would be most welcome! Is it hard to shift worms or something else?

I’d say unlikely to be worms if no evidence of them and you’ve been as
rigorous as you have been.

sometimes my 9year ldm
gets this and it’s from where he’s not been wiping correctly - takes a few days of daily baths and then slathering on sudocrem to fix it. Might be worth checking to see if it’s red and a bit like nappy rash.

If I eat something I have an intolerance of it can give me an itchy bum. Soya is the culprit for me.

Any changes in diet recently, new food introduced etc?

Could it be a small fissure? That's what it's been in the past for DS (after I was convinced it was worms and cleaned frantically and examined his poos like a crazy person)
