Vomiting 5 weeks apart? New norm?

Hi, anyone else's children being sick (vomit) more often? My 2 year old and 5 year old were sick 5 weeks ago, and have now been sick This weekend too. Oddly, first time my 5 year old was sick on Monday, OK and then sick again the following Sunday eve and lots of diarrhea. My 2 year old just a day of sickness.
This time my 2 year old was sick on Thursday twice, then the 5 year old lots of times this weekend and diarrhea. Then the 2 year old was a little bit sick last night again.
Sick bugs always used to be 6 monthly or just yearly for my older kids.
They have both had covid last year, but tested negative both times during this illness (but both also chesty cough).
I haven't contacted the Dr's as I don't think they could shed much light on this, but I did pick up some probiotic sachets to start them on.
I'm thinking covid has altered their gut linning maybe?
My 14 year old also has had sickness restart after years of not catching any... And every 4/5 weeks might experience an evening of bad stomach cramps but nothing else. (put thst down to too much junk food but not so sure now).

Anyone else experiencing more frequent sickness? And Dr's shed any light on this? So horrible for the kids to be ill like that, so often....

Yes, I had my 8yo at the doctor this morning.

Violently throws up every few weeks with no warning - once the episode is over, he's perfectly fine.

This has been on/off since August 21.

I'm demented.

Did the Dr suggest why or what to do about it?

Doctor thinks it might be:

DD (9 MO at the time) had Giardia, and symptoms can come and go for several weeks if left untreated. We caught it too and as well as diarrhoea and cramps we also suffered with vomiting. It was eventually picked up in a stool sample by the GP. If diarrhoea persists I would recommend getting in touch with your GP.
