Low grade fever

Dd was born a healthy baby with no major medical problems ever. She's 4.5yr old and is in the nursery. On and off she keeps getting sick with the usual cough cold and stomach bugs. Tuesday she came home from the nursery and had her snack and went straight to her bed saying she wanted to sleep which is very unusual for her as she hates sleeping. I touched her and she felt really hot. I checked her temperature which was 102F. I gave her calpol and put her to sleep. The temperature did go down but back to 102.4F after 4hrs. This continued the next day but from then on she's been showing a constant 99.2F. Her lymph nodes in the neck area are a bit swollen. I spoke to the GP who assured me it's common with kids that young to keep getting bugs on and off. But I am still worried. She has no other symptoms though. Anyone ever had a similar experience?

Is she complaining of a sore throat?
Have you checked tonsils?

@DESGUSTING my GP asked me the same question. I think her tonsils are slightly swollen but no white spots on them or anything such. She's been saying she needs to cough but she's not. Also she had bad cough cold and ear infections straight for 3 weeks which finally resolved after a course of antibiotics.

A fever is 100.4 in F. 99.2 is a normal body temperature. If it were my DD and there were no other symptoms expect slightly swollen lymph nodes, which wouldn’t worry me as she was unwell only on Tuesday, I would assume she’s on the mend. But if you’re concerned then call the GP again!
