Chicken pox scabs

My 3 year old is on day 6 of chicken pox and all have scabbed nicely. No pain and itching has gone. She has quite alot of deep scabs on her face and I'm wondering if I should continue to put on aqueous calamine cream? Or now use a moisturiser to prevent scaring? If so which moisturiser has anyone used please? Some of the scabs have been coming off when I've been applying cream and I'm worrying if I'm doing more harm than good.

I'm not a fan of Aqueous cream as all mine have eczema (and it's horrible stuff for that). Calamine is good for helping the itch and drying out but again, it will dry the skin. I don't know if you prevent the scarring with a cream but my children (fairly dark skin) had visible scars for a couple of years after. They did have it when they were a bit older though and had it very badly. All the scars have gone now but try not to worry if they do last a while.
