Chicken pox

How bad is it for a 6mo? Half the Internet says its mild and the other half says it can be serious in under 1 years old.

Would you knowingly expose your 6mo to chicken pox? I know parties were a thing a while ago but I thought that was for older children/toddlers and not babies.

I don't want to expose my son to chicken pox so young but I might have no option.

My son got it at that age and they got infected and he had antibiotics.

However I know lots of children who have had it that age and been fine.

It really is the luck of the draw.

I wouldn't expose them on purpose though.

My DS got it at 6months and had about 6 spots. He did however get it again later. If you're breastfeeding and have had it he'll get antibodies from you

Thanks for the replies! Food for thought there but I think I've managed to swerve the pox for him for now 😁
