Puberty question

DS is getting to the point now where I’m expecting puberty to start to hit. What age is the normal/average for males? Is there any advice in what I should say/teach? I ‘m assuming it’s best to teach shaving now rather than later

I should say 13 they would start. I would definitely teach him how to shave I did with all mine or get an electric razor. Might be good have the safe sex / puberty talk too

Having 2 ds I’d say the age they start varies hugely. From the boys I know, it was anything between the age of 11 and 16/17. Most seemed to have hit puberty by the time they were 15, but more than a few were later. As to what to teach them I’d play it by ear. Shaving seems to be quite late into puberty for many of them so might not be urgent straight away. Deodorant would be a good one 😁 and good skin care, but other than that just keep an open dialogue, they are all different.
