Does this look like chicken pox?

DS 18 months has had a temperature and been generally unwell all week, and yesterday evening I noticed these spots on his leg.

I thought they looked like chicken pox and expected more to develop but this morning there aren't any more and those are still there. I thought they usually started on tummy/chest/back etc as well so now I'm doubting myself.

Still unwell this morning and sleeping a lot.

I don't think so. Chickenpox causes blisters rather than little spots, I think. It might just be a viral rash, hopefully it'll clear up within a few days.

Not really no. Keep an eye on it to see how it develops but unlikely to be pox given the location and type of rash

looks like a viral rash to me my son is at the same at the moment, but if becomes more increasing unwell could be worth getting checked over

Thanks everyone! Jumped to chickenpox as a conclusion as it's currently rife at nursery. That's good to know it's probably not.
