16 month old worries

Hi everyone! My 16 month old boy has been doing things im not sure if its an indicator of asd or spd. My son has a total of 15-20 words of those including sign language. He's social. He has good eye contact. He responds to his name 80% of the time. He points and claps (a lot, appropriately), high fives (loves doing it) waves, plays peek a boo, does so big, points to himself when I say wheres Jackson? I've noticed he likes to hold 2 balls and throw them then claps and makes a weird humming noise while he claps. He likes doing this a lot throughout the day. not all day but a good chunk. He likes laying on the floor (carpet specifically) and sometimes holds toys up in the air. He also likes being upside down. Any thoughts? (waiting on appointment with pediatrician where I'll bring this up.)

not sure what the worries are. My 18 m old says zero words. Not worried at all.

I have a history of ASD in the family so I just keep an eye out. First time mom.

Everything you say seems absolutely normal to me. I have two children. Do you meet other 16m olds? There is no way of telling now if he has ASD.

Doesn't sound worrying to me Smile

I have 2 nephews. 1 is 7 yrs old non verbal and at 16 months you could tell he was on the spectrum. He wasn't social as a toddler, nor responded to his name, he didn't point. My other nephew is 16 months old and my sister says he isn't showing any signs.
