DD (6) has had many ear infections, but always with or after a cold. She's complaining of earache, was up in the night with it, but hasn't had a cold or anything. I'm aware a cold and/or high temp could develop, but it's odd for her earache to start first. Could something other than an infection be causing it? Doctors often comment when they check her ears that she has waxy ears.
