Norovirus - stopped vomiting then started again??

I posted under another name hit can the arsed to change back. DS has been poorly for around a week with sickness initially (1-2 times a day) and stomach ache and high fever, better for a day then started vomiting again but constantly yesterday. Had been in hospital then sent home then went back with new fever and constant vomiting yesterday. He swabbed positive for norovirus- still no clue what was wrong previously. Anyway. He stopped being sick last night but has just now been sick again. He was hungry this afternoon so had something to eat. Maybe it was too soon but I've never known the vomiting to stop then start again. Anyone had this? We went back to hospital when this happened yesterday. Hopefully won't be another visit tomorrow 😩😩😩

How old is he? If he's quite little then I think it can be very normal for them to take a while to get property better, and are easily sick again.

There was a similar ish thread a couple of days ago where other people had experienced similar and it was totally fine

My son had vomiting only at night for 3 days then nothing for 2 days, then diarrhoea for 2 days last week. Very random but he's been fine for about 5 days now luckily.

Thanks will have a read. He's 15 and been in hospital or id worry less. They were querying Crohns/ bowel infection then he started intense vomiting and stool sample showed Norovirus but they said this didn't mean this was what the original thing was. Next stop will be children's hospital if it keeps going. It's such a worry. If this repeat vomit was in isolation I'd have said he's eaten too soon - DH bought him fries this afternoon at his request. Bland I guess and he was starving but maybe too soon.
Im so worried.

I have had Norovirus a few times ( work in healthcare). I found that it does that - seems to settle then returns for another bout. Very unpleasant but does go away eventually ime.

No sick since 8 God knows what to expect tomorrow/ in the night. Had a broken night in hospital albeit the little sofa bed chairs are pretty comfy. I feel worn out

He's just been sick again and had another nosebleed.
He's been down and snaffles loads of biscuits while I was working then bread and butter as he was starving so maybe that's not helped but I don't know whether to starve him and just do fluids for 12 hours and see what happens or ring the ward and go back up. It's so hard knowing what to do but we are 2 weeks on now and I can't help worrying they're missing something
