Frequent illness

I have 4 dc 18,16, 14, 10. Since the start of December we seem to have had constant rounds of illness in our house, in a way we haven't experienced since the dc were toddlers starting at nursery. DC13 has had flu-like illnesses every 4-5 weeks (temperature, headaches, wiped out) plus a sickness bug. DC18 has also had flu-like symptoms and is now on his second round of tonsillitis in 2 weeks. DC10 has a lowered immune system anyway, so we usually expect her to catch quite a few bugs, but this year has been the worst for her too.
I feel like they all eat (reasonably) healthily and take a multivitamin when they remember. I'm now wondering what else I can do to stop them catching everything going. DC13 & DC18 are worrying me particularly, they both just seem so pale and run down.
Anyone else going through similar, or have any advice?

I think since covid many have been more unwell this winter as lots of bugs going around

is DC 13 and 18 both drinking? Got any current signs of infecting while being pale? How’s each of their urine output? Are the boy or girl? Any bleeding for possible anemia?

Interesting you’ve posted this, mine have been the same. Age 8, 10 and 13. Constant bugs: stomach ache, feeling sick or colds, tired, sneezing etc… it’s exhausting.

They’ve had endless time off school and I don’t know whether they can actually be this ill?! Is it that they’re sensitive or is there something else going on 🤷🏻‍♀️

DC13 is a girl and I do wonder sometimes about iron levels, she seems so washed out and definitely looks more so during her period. DC18 is a boy. They both seem to drink plenty of water, no signs of urine infections etc.

Same here but with colds, son is 13. All of us at home have been sick with colds since January, one after another. And the same happens at work. There is always someone from my office on sick leave every week. It's affecting both adults and kids this winter.

Have you looked under DD eye lids? Are the bright or dark? Do you know if she has heavy periods? Sounds like it could be something to look into and maybe check her bloods?
