Yellow newborn sick

Baby is 11 days old and formula fed

She was sick 2 days ago and it was very yellow. Seemed fine so no issues

This morning she was sick again and it was yellow (see attached pic) it's like a lemony colour

Can't get through to the midwife line at the moment so thought id post here and keep trying

For reference (and relevance)

  • she's not a sicky baby, the only two times she's been sick are the two as above
  • she seems to struggle going for a poo. She managed to go last night but normally we're only getting 'skid mark' type poo (have spoken to MW about this)
  • she's very squeaky (I think stridor) and not sure this has relevance

Anyone had anything similar?

That's a normal baby sick colour - the milk is partially digested so it changes. But if you're worried about the squeaking or pooing, no decent midwife/GP is going to mind seeing such a tiny baby again if needed.

Is it just sickness or projectile vomiting?

My newborn had yellow projectile vomiting a couple of weeks ago and it turned out to be a flu virus, that was the first sign.

If it's a one off and not projectile I'd not worry.
