Hi

ive noticed the large circular patch appear last week and now there seems a smaller one Below and to the right. They are not raised, not causing any bother, DD doesn’t think they have fallen or bumped the area and there’s no pain, just seem to have appeared.

You haven't attached a photo

Helpmegetajob · 28/02/2023 18:35

Sorry

I am really not sure. Look like bruises but they are very circular aren't they.
Not something I have seen before 🤔

Hope someone else can help

The picture is not very clear, but it is red I would suspect a tick bite. The circular rash from a tick bite needs immediate antibiotics. The illness, Lyme disease, can be quite mild, but less to life-long ill health and problems.

Google Lyme disease and tick bullseye rash to compare for yourself.

Ring worm which is contagious a d a fungal infection

Posyapocalypse · 28/02/2023 19:20

Do the areas feel or look dryer than the rest of the skin. Does they feel as smooth as the rest of the skin? The roundness does seem to look like it could be a fungal thing but I’m no expert. I’d get it checked as it might need treating so it doesn’t spread or pass to anyone else.

I have brown marks like that on my back since l was a teenager. I am now in my 60s. Doctors say its not an issue. Its a type of hyperpigmentation. A dermatologist also checked it out and had a special name for it but l can't remember what it was. It's only on my back.
This, of course, could be something completely different.

Helpmegetajob · 28/02/2023 19:43

Thank you all.

so it doesn’t appear red or raised. Flat and smooth as the rest of her skin. I’ve added a couple more shots.

first noticed a week ago, she has been fine in herself

It looks like a skin condition which I had once. Was treated with cream. It was a yeast infection.

Posyapocalypse · 28/02/2023 21:39

I’d definitely let a gp or pharmacist take a look. It doesn’t nearly fit anything I’ve seen ie not itchy, dry, raised, red, scaly, not got an bullseye ring. It could be a yeast thing in which case it would need anti fungal treatment. Seems like it could be on those lines if it started with just the one but there’s now another. It’s good it’s not bothering her. Itchy, sore things are miserable.

Posyapocalypse · 28/02/2023 21:39

Doesn’t neatly not nearly!

They look a bit like cafe au lait marks? It's quite hard to tell from the photos but you could google cafe au lait and see if they are similar. They are a type of hyperpigmentation, which can be associated with underlying conditions, but often not - my DD has lots and it has been confirmed in her case that they are probably just genetic skin pigment mutations.
