Headache and double/blurry vision

My 6 year old has been complaining of a bad headache and blurry/double vision in his left eye since Sunday afternoon.
We had his birthday party on Sunday morning so I originally put it down to just too much running around however yesterday he had the same complaints along with loss of appetite and temperature of 38.6.

Any thoughts what could be causing it? Think I might phone gp this morning as his eyes are so red and puffy he looks awful

Definitely seek medical advice. If you can't get a GP appointment your local high street optician is a good shout. They won't see him if he has a fever though. Optician's have all the good equipment to do a thorough check up.

Ds had a weird virus on Friday that started with an awful headache/migraine and vision distortion and ended up with his throwing up. Friends children have had the same. Does he feel sick?

I would get him to the optician asap. Today if possible. My 6 year old great nephew had the same symptoms last summer, his mum took him to the optician who didn't like what he saw (pressure, caused by brain tumour) By that night he'd been taken to the eye hospital and sick kids, and by the following day down to a specialist in Glasgow.

He's now doing well, having had the tumour removed.

BUT, hopefully this will just be a virus and the optician can do the tests and put your mind at rest
