Viral fever

My 3 year old started nursery last September. She kept getting sick. Last week she had a temperature, cough and blocked nose and after 5 days doctor offered antibiotics and its been 7 days now. Her fever keep coming back when she is napping or asleep. Im worried of her. She is drinking and eating fine. Has anyone else experienced this kind of situation?

If it's viral how would antibiotics help? Did the doctor actually take any swabs e.g. for flu or covid?

Apart from the fever, how is she? Is she still playing and happy or is she lethargic and groggy? Is she drinking and eating normally? The fever is a number but I think it's helpful to look at the bigger picture of how your child is too in terms of assessing what you need to do.

Gp found she has throat and ear infection and thats why she keeps getting the temperature. No they dint do any swaps

She eats and drinking okay. She is herself when the fever is gone. I have never seen her like this
