Hi everyone. We have a chat with the GP booked on Thursday, but just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience to us. It’s a bit of a journey so bear with me:
In early jan we all caught a stomach bug including our 12 month old. She had diarrhoea but managed to make it to the potty every time. Didn’t seem bothered by it.
After a few days she seemed to get griping pains so we cut out lactose which fixed the issue overnight. Solid poops and happy baby!
Then a few days later her poos were coming out chalky white and green (in the same potty session). We called the doctor who said it’s deffo the gastroenteritis, and it can last a couple of weeks.
Over the next few weeks her poops seemed better. Still varying colours but mostly brown and green.
Then she caught a cold and also had her 1 year vaccinations. A week after her vaccines she had a slightly raised temp and was off her food for a couple of days (which I think is normal with the mmr).
Now she’s fine again in herself but her patchwork poops are back. Pale/green/brown all in one sitting.
Has anyone else experienced such a variety of poop colours from their toddler? I also can’t work out if it’s still from the gastro over a month later, or whether it’s a new thing from her cold or the fact she’s eating more of a variety of food etc…
i tried to have a google but I couldn’t find similar stories with the multicoloured nature of the poos and also the length of time it’s going on for, so thought I’d post myself :)
