Help!! Bleeding from toddlers bits?!?

There was a notable amount of blood coming from my toddlers vagina when changing her nappy (a good few full drops). It looked like a period. Can't see any cuts or damage so she hasn't itched. It's definitely not from anus. Doctor said let's see what happens as it could be a fissure even though there was a trace of blood in same place maybe a month ago and i told her it was definitely vaginal (obvious on photo i showed her). Anyone has any experience of this? So worried

Why didn't you see a Dr the first time?

"Dr says let's see what happens" - sounds like the OP saw a doctor - good reading through though, @IWineAndDontDine

@lapsis give the dr a call. I hope some posters can give some reassurance but defo one for the GP.

Same to you “Doctor said let's see what happens as it could be a fissure even though there was a trace of blood in same place maybe a month ago”
OP mentions recent doctor visit for this time, but another incidence of blood a month ago and doesn’t mention a doctor for that bit.

OP that must be so stressful, just keep a close eye on it and don’t be afraid to call the GP again if you aren’t happy.

Awkward - however if YOU read it properly you would see she saw a Dr the second time it happened, not the first. I was just wondering why she wasn't concerned enough to see a Dr the first time it happened but took a photo.

Also you tagged the wrong posters in the wrong part of your message - I'd stick to giving advice rather than passive aggressive tips on how to read and then not doing so correctly yourself - twice 😂🤣

Awkward. Not only have you read the post wrong, and the other person's comment wrong, you've got their names the wrong way around.

Maybe you should practice your reading too.

OP try not to worry, if the doctor has said wait best to wait. Did you tell the doctor that this is the second instance, not the first?

When my dd was a toddler, and I was changing her nappy, she sort of bore down and there was a couple of drops of blood from her vagina. I mentioned it to the dr and they were not bothered.

It never happened again. I wondered if it was her hymen. She's 27 now and fine!

IWineAndDontDine · 09/02/2023 22:35

Sorry OP isn't clear! Saw a Dr when she had a fissure a year ago. Said it was common etc. Had a tiny smear of blood maybe on her vagina a month or 2 ago but it was a nominal amount, wasn't clearly from her vagina and so decided we would keep an eye and seek advice if we noticed it ahain. This time it was a fair amount. Obviously not enough to go to a and e, she also doesn't seem bothered. Also, didn't take a photo the first time it happened as again, we thought surely it must just be a fissure and if it happened again we would be concerned...

That's very reassuring thank you!

Is it definitely not in her pee?

Does your dd attend nursery ?

There were 2 posts when I replied and I tagged based on the 2 posters on the MN app drop-down, one of which had "op" next to it in green. Not my fault it was wrong.

Anyway. Usual MN seagull pile on "mine mine mine mine". Yeah I got the names wrong - what a moron I must be.

I hope your little one is ok, OP. As I said above, please visit your GP and don't rely on strangers on the internet. As I've proved, most of us are stupid.

To the pilers - nice supporting the OP.
