The dreaded chicken pox have hit my house my 2.5 year old daughter has them in her ears, I.my her mouth on her tongue and all over the rest of her body but my god she's having an awful time of it. I also have a 4 month old and I've read it's rare to get them before 1 anyone had a baby with chicken pox?

If your 4 month old manages to avoid them this time then I recommend vaccinating her so she doesn’t have to go through it.

Chicken pox vaccines should be part of the routine schedule in the UK.

DS got them at 8 months from his sister. He was just over 2 weeks after her that the spots came out.

My ds got them from dd when he was 5½ months old. He then had shingles age 3 which is more common if they get CP under 1 year.

It was 15 days between the outbreaks

Completely agree.

We got DS vaccinated as soon as he was old enough to have it done. I was hospitalised with CP as a child, it can be a nasty virus l.

Poor you 😢
my best friend’s 3 year old got it and within the week passed it onto his 2 month old sister - she was literally completely fine apart from some spots. Dr wasn’t worried at all. 3 year old was miserable with it until worst was over. Hope it passes for you all as soon as it can 💐
