Long post and just wanted to see if anyone has any advice or can relate?

My 15m old DD has been unwell for around 9 days now. Initially started off presenting as a normal cold but then spiked a temp of 40c +. GP checked her over and said it was an ear infection and prescribed her AB’s that she’s now finished. During this time she has been so sicky but particularly during the night. She will randomly wake up in the night and throw up, sometimes she’s coughing sometimes she’s not. She’s then wide awake happy as anything. We tested her to see if she had covid which ended up being positive. She’s been so up and down this past 9 days but her temp has been stable since day 3.

I guess my question is any advice? She is still being sick every night and hasn’t eaten much in a week. She’s refusing everything except water and her milk. I’m awaiting a call back from the GP again for some advice but could this be the covid? To add, I am also covid positive and being sick daily, predominantly in the night also. It’s awful. I can’t help but worry this is something more sinister as I do have a bad habit of going down the Google rabbit hole so to speak.

i just feel like she should be better by now and eating normally and no sickness !

Hey, just wondered how your DD is doing now?

I have a 6 month old who developed a cold last week, started off with lots of sneezing and was congested at night, nothing serious. Then Saturday/Sunday morning started being very sick, it was pouring out of him. He seemed fine in himself, he just could not keep any milk down. We took him to A&E due to the dehydration but they sent him home saying it was just a virus and to go back if we are concerned.

I have been very unwell with Covid the last few days, which I assumed initially was just a cold I caught from him. We told the doctor this but they didn’t seem to link it. Overnight he is now coughing lots and still not keeping down milk/water. It must be Covid related, I’m just very worried about him getting dehydrated and can’t see an end to all the projectile vomiting 😩
