My ex had my daughter who's 17 months on Saturday/Sunday. He had some diarreah and vomited yesterday morning, so I came and got her.
Last night she was sick in her cot, and again when she'd had her bottle. This morning she had woken up really chesty, snotty and coughing. She's got no appetite and when she does eat little bits she seems to choke and then bring it up.
I'm really phobic about vomiting, do you think she's caught a bug off him?
Or could her cold cause this?

Yes, lots of snot and mucus at the back of the throat can cause vomiting even in adults. Its worse when they've just eaten. But it's more common in young children because they don't know how to clear their noses, so more goes down their throat, causing them to vomiting it up.

This is from personal experience. I'm not a medical person.

I'd try getting her to drink lots of fluids and breathing in steam by getting her to play in the bathroom with the shower running. You can also speak to the pharmacist for over the counter remedies if you're concerned. If they think there's a need to see GP, they will say. I found the GP receptionist very quick to find an appointment if the pharmacist advised that one was needed.

She may have a cold plus sickness bug

My son started with a bad infection last week , then the next day had sickness and diarrhoea! Which has now been passed around the whole house.

There seems to be a lot going around again at the moment

Hope she feels better soon

My now 3 year old daughter has always been a sicky baby when she's struggling with a cold. I always dread her being really snotty as it's a guarantee we're going to be dealing with vomit at some point. I thing it's possibly a post nasal drip type situation that causes it.

My 3yo was sick with a cold last week. I find it helps if they eat/drink slower, although good luck explaining that to a toddler.
