Nasty cough & cold...

On the latest of DS's illnesses (seriously relentless the last 7 weeks) he now has a nasty cough (I mean hacking, no sleep for a week, shockingly loud) the cough started last Saturday & his cold started a day or two later.

Went to the Doc's today & to my surprise he was given 5 days worth of ABs as Nurse saw one of his tonsils was inflamed & really red.

He has had nasty coughs before but never had ABs associated with it. He's still having big coughing fits, despite using an inhaler. I just can't believe we are on day 6 & no further forward. Appreciate the ABs are not for the cough or cold but just his throat.. he's himself for about 50% of the day.. then goes downhill, emotional, tired, not eating, saying throat & tummy hurt. Anyone had anything like this recently, any light at the end of the tunnel? TIA

Sambucol. Its the only thing that ever helped shorten these type if illnesses when my little ones were little. Particularly my croupy kid.

@MistyFrequencies I've never heard of that, DS does take a daily multi vit but having a Google this seems to be be the elite of vitamins.. thank you for the suggestion!
