Baby safe cold remedies that work?

Currently sitting on the couch letting my very congested 4mo DS contact nap upright on me so he can get some much needed sleep. (Will swap with his dad in a couple hours.)

Calpol plug in (small bedroom), saline nasal spray, clearing with a snot sucker & baby olbas oil on a cloth are doing absolutely nothing for him. A bath bought him some sleep earlier, I think, but at 2:30am, I'm not giving him another.

Is there anything else I can try to help him breathe and get through this cold?

Has he got a temp? Have you given calpol?

TheRookieMum · 01/02/2023 02:41

Should have said, no temp so far. I'm checking often. Calpol when he's next awake though is probably good shout.

Yep definitely calpol. You can raise/lower some legs on cribs too, so that the head is higher.

Thanks! My brain was about functioning with the sleep regression, then this a cold on top, I'm awake but not so 100% with it!
