Two week period in dd11.

My dd11 has now been on her period (very light to medium flow) for 16 days. She's only had a couple of very light periods before this. Should I be worried? I know periods can take a while to settle down into being regular but I always thought this meant being infrequent, not lasting this long!

Hi, I was going to ask a similar question, apologies I'm not answering. I have a similar issues, 11 year old daughter has had her period on and off now for 3 weeks. But only first started having them October/November. So I was wondering what is normal and how long they take to settle as I can't remember myself 🤦

My DD had a similar issue. Very common for them to be all over the place for a couple of years according to my GP but she did send her for a blood test to make sure her iron levels were ok and there was nothing underlying going on.

Thank you so much for responding. I've booked a phone appointment with doctors but it's nice to hear of others who had similar thing.
