Strep A? Urgent or not?

My 6 DD has had a cough for a couple of weeks now, no fever just hacking cough and well enough in herself with a few sore tummies on and off. Been managing at school etc.
I happened to look in her mouth earlier when she was laughing and had her head back, and the back of her throat has red petichaie spots on it, which happened when she had strep A before Christmas. Apparently it’s a key sign of strep A.
do I need to get her seen urgently? or could it “just” be from hard coughing?
she isn’t saying her throat is sore at all and if I hadn’t seen it I wouldn’t be worried, but I’m nervous after latest strep A scares in news. Just not sure it warrants a trip to a&e or out of hours given she seems well enough in herself. if you can’t tell (!) I have bad health anxiety and struggle to know what’s over the top when it comes to their health. Thank you!

A throat infection is strep A. Don’t worry though it sounds mild. Speak to your local pharmacy

How did you get on op? I have similar DS with very mild sore throat and but of a rash, but running round fine, not sure if strep would be more painful? Hope your dd is ok.

We’ve sat out the weekend as she’s been totally fine in herself but these spots are still there which are confusing me. Hope your little one is ok 💞
