Hand foot and mouth... again

Sorry for the long post! Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. DD (16 months) had hand foot and mouth last month, it cleared up just before Christmas and seemed to have totally gone by new year.

On the 3rd of this month she started with a cold which she currently still has! Snotty and rattly chest and cough but no temp, still eating and drinking etc. I took her to the GP on Tuesday as it just seems to be lasting so long and he said it's just viral and will pass, no temp and chest sounded clear. During this time she also started with what I thought was a teething rash as she's also getting her canines but this has also not cleared and got worse this week looking really angry and inflamed.

We went back to the GP who said it was impetigo and prescribed antibiotics which we started this morning. Today I noticed DD now has blisters on her feet the same as when she had HFM last month, more pics sent to the docs and they confirmed that's what it is and the mouth rash may not be impetigo but related to the HFM. Was advised to finish the antibiotics and hopefully everything should clear soon.

Im just confused as to how she seems to have developed this twice in the space of a month?! She has been unwell since Oct/Nov it seems with one thing or another and now this again... does anyone have any thoughts? Or tips on making her comfortable she was so itchy last time 😭

I have a feeling my son has hfm again after having it in November. I took him to the doctors today and was told it is possible to catch again and again 🙈

Hi i know this was a little while ago but I seem to be experiencing the same thing but with my 8 month old. From what ive read online the virus does seem to have evolved lately and affecting people differently. Has she had it again since? I don't think i can deal with another episode again so close together.
